Privacy Policy

This site is run by Gracie Holm ("Gracie in Color"). It's a small, one-person art shop, and this policy is written to be read, not skimmed past. The short version: the site collects as little as possible, and nothing about you is ever sold or shared beyond the services needed to run the shop.
What's collected, and why
- Your email address. Only if you sign up for the newsletter. It's saved on our own server (see below) and passed to our email newsletter provider, Kit, which sends the newsletter you asked for. Signup is double opt-in (you confirm by email before you're added).
- Waitlist entries. If you join the waitlist for something that isn't for sale yet, we keep your email address, which product you asked about, and whereabouts you'd want it shipped if you told us. It's saved on our own server (see below) and it isn't passed to anyone. It's used once, to tell you when that thing is ready, unless you also ticked the box asking for the newsletter. Nothing is charged and you're not committed to buying anything. Ask us and we'll take you off the list.
- Request form entries. If you send an idea through the "what should I make next?" form, we receive what you wrote plus the contact info you chose to include (it's optional). It's saved on our own server and also delivered to us by Formspree. It's used to consider and reply to your idea, nothing else.
- Where "our own server" is. This site runs on a computer at Gracie's collaborator's home, not a rented cloud service. Newsletter signups, waitlist entries and form entries are written to a file there that only the two of us can read, behind a login. We keep them so a message is never lost if a provider is having a bad day, and so we can answer you from one place. Nothing else about your visit is recorded there.
- Order information. Checkout happens on Stripe, not on this site. Stripe collects your name, shipping address, and payment details under Stripe's privacy policy. We see what's needed to pack and ship your order (name, address, what you bought), never your card number.
- Email you send us. If you write to [email protected], we keep the correspondence like any mailbox does.
Analytics
The site may use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics to count visits and see which pages people use. This kind of analytics doesn't use cookies, doesn't identify you personally, and doesn't follow you across other sites.
What's never done with your data
- No selling or renting your information. Not to anyone, ever.
- No sharing beyond the service providers named above (Kit, Formspree, Stripe).
- No advertising trackers, no social media pixels.
- No visitor accounts, no visitor passwords, no profiles. (The two of us sign in to manage the shop; you never need to.)
Your choices
- Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. It works immediately.
- Want anything deleted: your email, a request you sent, order correspondence? Write to [email protected] and it will be, from our server and from the provider both.
Children
The site isn't directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Meaningful changes get a mention in the newsletter.
